Human Resources Generalist

Duties & Responsibilities

Summary: This position will be assisting the Human Resources department with HRIS, benefits, payroll, recruiting and corporate communications for ImOn Communications.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Provides advice and counsel to employees regarding Human Resources policies, procedures, benefits, recruiting, training, government regulations and employee relations.
• Processes payroll.
• Facilitates all recruiting processes (job postings, resume screening, interviewing and applicant tracking, background/reference checking, communicating employment offer, etc.).
• Facilitates new hire orientation and training related to HR programs, ImOn policies and procedures.
• Maintains employee personnel files, I-9 files and HRIS.
• Maintains employee benefit paperwork and relationship with providers while acting as a resource for questions pertaining to employee benefits, FMLA administration, short-term disability insurance administration and unemployment compensation administration.
• Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data, and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
• Handles employee relations matters by appropriately investigating and researching information, soliciting resources and resolving issues in a timely manner while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
• Assists with employee annual and ninety-day review process.
• Maintains attendance tracking database and clothing allowance database.
• Manages employee parking permits.
• Facilitates corporate communications.

Other duties and responsibilities:
• Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
• Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skills.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience strongly desired. Recruiting experience preferred.
• Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills are required with the ability to build and foster effective team relationships.
• Ability to function independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be team-oriented, friendly and personable with strong focus on customer service.
