Cedar Rapids - ImOn Communications announced today that it is launching a free Wi-Fi service in downtown Cedar Rapids. The network, currently under construction, will initially cover approximately one square mile of downtown, NewBo City Market and the new McGrath City Amphitheater. Future plans call for incorporating more public spaces and venues into the Wi-Fi network. ImOn is bearing 100% of the equipment and maintenance costs associated with the network as a donation to the community.
