ImOn Communications is excited to announce that Emily Honings has been appointed to the company’s leadership team as Vice President of Human Resources.
Over the last decade, ImOn has experienced rapid business growth—expanding its fiber Internet network and customer base, acquiring two telecommunications companies, and establishing offices in new communities and states—which has been accompanied by significant workforce growth. Today, ImOn’s team comprises 270 full-time employees.
In this role, Ms. Honings will spearhead further employee growth via talent acquisition, employee relations, and leadership development. In addition, she will lead HR operations, oversee employee training and safety initiatives, ensure compliance with employment laws, and align ImOn’s people strategy with the company’s business strategy.
Ms. Honings brings more than 15 years of leadership experience to her role at ImOn. Most recently, she served as Director of Human Resources for Rate, a nationwide mortgage and home finance company.

Outside of ImOn, Ms. Honings serves as the president of the Eastern Iowa chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing and supporting human resource professionals in the Iowa City-Cedar Rapids Corridor.
