ImOn Communications has begun construction of its fiber-to-the-premise Internet network in the Village of Superior and announced a $10,000 community donation to support various projects and initiatives in the Village.
Once the fiber Internet network is complete, the Village of Superior will have access to symmetrical speeds up to 5 Gig for residents and 10 Gig for businesses, as well as fiber-based phone service, known as VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol).
On Wednesday, Oct. 7, ImOn hosted an event in the Village of Superior, providing a free lunch to more than 250 community members to celebrate the start of construction.
At the event, ImOn leadership presented a $10,000 donation check to Village of Superior officials. This contribution is intended to support community projects and initiatives that strengthen connections and help make the Village of Superior an even better place to live, work, and play.
“We are excited to be extending our state-of-the-art fiber Internet network south to serve the homes and businesses of the Village of Superior,” said Patrice Carroll, President and CEO of ImOn Communications. “But our investment in the Village of Superior goes beyond this new infrastructure. We’re committed to being a good community partner, and we’re proud to support the Village with a $10,000 community donation.”
“We’re happy to welcome ImOn Communications to the Village of Superior and appreciate the investments they’ve already made in our community,” said John Wick, President of the Village of Superior’s Board of Trustees. “Reliable, high-speed Internet is an important part of everyday life, and this new fiber network will provide another valuable resource for our residents. We are also very grateful for the $10,000 community donation and look forward to using it to strengthen our community even further.”
